Ioannes: Wh- who are you?
Jara: A- a burglar! I thought you were a palace guard.
Ioannes: On the contrary! Let's join forces! I am Ioannes, Grand Magus of Kildenbusch.
Jara: Jar- uh- Farah! The gray, uh, m-mouse. Yeah, thassit.
Ioannes: OK, "mouse"! I will now apply my analytical skills to the combination that will disarm this devilish death trap!
Jara pushes the doors open.
Jara: Why not just open it?
Ioannes: HEY! WAIT!... But- the traps aren't armed?
Jara: People do live here, you know? Try staggering to the privy in the middle of the night, especially if you like your hashish.
Ioannes: Then you don't need to touch those buttons?
Jara: Touching any of them sets off the traps. After all, who but an intruder would bother?

That is so spot on! If I ever DM a roleplaying adventure again, I'm going to use that somewhere.
