Panel 1:
Seen from inside the rut that Queen Elspeth dug in the floor of her throne room earlier in the story by pacing it long and hard. The Countess Alcydia von Dönnerwetter stands at the bottom of the rut, literally fuming: smoke is billowing up from her head. The top of the rut is covered with bars; from outside, the Baron von Fieffelfalsfaffel looks down, concerned. Alcydia's silverfox also looks down, but it is more angry. The Queen is speaking from her throne, not seen in the image itself.
Queen (off-panel): …award you with the honour of receiving the O.W.E[fn:1] for filling the royal coffers!
