The thugs approach Tapper and Ioannes.
Thug 1: Immigrants from the Overcity, eh?
Thug 2: Look, they've got suntans!
Thug 3: Suntans! I hate darkies!
Ioannes: Gentlemen! Perhaps you do not realize that I am the subworld-famous alchemist Ioannes von Kildenbusch! Watch it, or I'll turn you all into FROGS!
The thugs have only partly turned into frogs. They are frog-headed but still the same size as before.
Ioannes: Look! I did it! I transformed them!
