Lacking in plausibility
A mob is tying Ioannes and Tapper to a post. They are not happy about it.
Officer: Illegal aliens!
Professor: String'em up!
Tapper: I'm innocent! Prudence misled me! Ioannes is responsible! I had a rough childhood! ...And then Prudence was abducted and Ioannes summoned a spirit and-
Ioannes: Pathetic! Pitiful!
Tapper: And the homunculus ran ahead and Ioannes summoned a spirit and...
Dupond: Implausible!
Dupont: Lacking in plausibility, I dare say!
Officer: Let's be done with them and drown them at once!

Ten years on, I'm not sure if Tapper was supposed to be repeating himself in the middle panel. It kind of works, but possibly by accident.

I do know that I spelled Ioannes' name two different ways at the time. I still haven't settled on one spelling even now. Fixing this would either mean a crude copy-and-pasting of one letter into the web files or doing the lettering from scratch, as no compatible master files exist.
